What's All Ths Fuss about Mindsets?

The latest process standards describe how students should engage with the mathematics content and represent a significant shift in the way that math is taught and assessed. Success with the new standards will require that teachers attend to students' mindsets and self-beliefs as they plan for instruction. What can we learn from psychology and the learning sciences that can help us in promoting a process-infused classroom culture? The Dana Center is a leader in translating this research into practice and we'll explore this question and share some practical starting places.

AACTM officer elections - Spring 2016

Consider nominating an AACTM member for an officer position in the 2016 election.
Self-nominations are accepted!

At the October 17, 2015 Fall Business Meeting, a nomination committee will be appointed by our President, David Surdovel. The committee will present a slate of nominations to the membership at the Spring 2016 meeting. The committee will start collecting nominations as soon as they are given the charge of being on the nomination committee!
